The pool is now up and running, there are a few teething issues, such as a couple of lights don't work because the transformers have blown and the auto filler isn't quite right, but I am sorting that so essentially the pool is there ready for use.

I met up again yesterday with the surveyor and Administrator and was told that they have been unable to make contact with the technical team from Quara.

As most of you will be already aware there were two earthquakes on Wednesday in the Murcian town of Lorca, about 120km southwest of Alicante, one of 4.8 and the other 5.3 on the Richter Scale.

There has been a number of emails circulating regarding the installation of a different Tv system. Whilst I agree that the current system supplied by Torrestat leaves a lot to be desired, the replacement of that system may not be straight forward.

During the summer we had a small plague of cockroaches. The local council do go around the area and apply a poisonous spray to the drains in the main roads but they do not come within the community boundary.

As soon as you enter La Finca from the CV 935 immediately turn right keeping the commercial properties on your left. Take the first on the left (Calle Alicante) and our community lies between the second on the right (Calle Rafal) and the third on the right. (Calle Orihuela) Parking for numbers 242 to 248 is in Calle Alicante. For numbers 249 to 255 parking is in Calle Rafal 3 and for numbers 256 to 279 parking is in Calle Rafal 5. Parking for numbers 280 to 298 is in the parking area to the left at the bottom of Calle Rafal.

Work started as scheduled last Wednesday on repairing the pool. It seems to be progressing well and I'm hoping that it will be completed by this coming weekend.

On Tuesday I spent a long time talking, showing and explaining the problems we have with our communal pool to the Administration surveyor and the technical engineer and works manager from Quara.

I have introduced a new feature on to the site recently: the List of Registered Owners. Once you are logged in you can see all your fellow R2 registered owners in the Owner's Menu.

Apparently we have a leak in our communal pool. The water level is dropping about three tiles per week an the pool maintenance people have left the water to drain out until the level stops whereupon they should have a better idea in locating where the leak is.

There were a couple of instances of cut feet from broken or missing tiles in the communal pool during the summer.

In the heat of an August afternoon I managed to persuade my wife Moweena and Patrick 'Paddy' Callaghan (262) to help me tackle the job of tidying up our perimeter footpath.
