There has been a number of emails circulating regarding the installation of a different Tv system. Whilst I agree that the current system supplied by Torrestat leaves a lot to be desired, the replacement of that system may not be straight forward.

There are a number of factors to be taken into consideration, not least of which is the cost involved. Most systems which involve no monthly subscription only provide the same free channels that are currently provided, the difference being that an initial outlay replaces the monthly subscription.

My personal preference would be to install a total community system i.e to have a new system cabled to all properties and financed by every property within the community. That should make the installation more economic as well as enhancing the individual sale/rental values of each property. If anyone has a view on this then write comments on the forum. If the consensus is agreeable then I will endeavour to get various companies to quote.
